APEC ROES-PH75 Overview

APEC WATER ROES-PH75

The APEC ROES-PH75 is a reasonably priced under sink RO system that filters up to 99% of contaminants from the water.

The system produces purified water through 6 filtration stages and is rated for about 75 gallons of purified water per day. It has a filtered to waste water ratio of 1:3 hence relatively efficient.

The ROES-PH75 is easy to set up now that it comes with everything you need to install. With basic DIY skills, you’ll have it up and running in less than an hour.

A faucet and a storage tank are also included in the package.

It measures 16 x 5.25 x 17.5 inches, weighs 27 pounds and is backed by a 2-year extended manufacturer warranty.

Filtration Process: The ROES-PH75 filters water in 6 stages and is guaranteed to eliminate up to 99% of contaminants, including fluoride, lead, arsenic, nitrates, heavy metals, VOCs, tastes, and odors, among others.

It has premium, long-lasting filters that help treat your tap/well water, providing you with unlimited access to clean drinking water.

A high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter eliminates rust and dust particles in the first filtration stage. This stage is vital as removing these particles protects and extends the life of the RO membrane.

In the 2nd and 3rd stages, super-efficient double carbon blocks that are uniquely designed get rid of unpleasant colors, chloramines, chlorine, tastes, odors and cloudiness. VOCs and other chemicals are also removed here.

The large carbon block surface maximizes contact time to ensure the purity of your water and multiply the lifetime of the filters and RO membrane.

In the 4th stage, a high-rejection TFC reverse osmosis membrane gets rid of up to 99% of TDS and contaminants such as lead, fluoride, arsenic, and chromium, among others.

An advanced coconut carbon filter in stage 5 removes any lingering taste and odor from the tank.

In the 6th and final filtration stage, a pH+ alkaline remineralizing calcium filter adds essential minerals to your water to increase its alkalinity and improve the taste.

Filtration Efficiency – Water Flow Rate: The ROES-PH75 provides a faster-purified water production speed for every family that desires high-quality mineral drinking water.

The unit produces 75 gallons of water per day, enough to meet the daily water needs of a medium-sized family setting.

It has a filtered water to waste water ratio of 1:3, meaning that to get one gallon of pure water, the system wastes 3 gallons of water. Although not highly efficient, it’s still worth investing in it as it works way better than other models that waste 4,5 or more gallons to produce a gallon of pure water.

Plus, you can still use the waste water in other ways like watering your plants or washing your car.

Also, if you care about the wasted water, get a permeate pump and add it to the system for better results.

Installation and Maintenance: The APEC ROES-PH75 is a compact system designed to be installed under the sink, although you can install it anywhere there’s a convenient water feed line.

The system comes with all parts and the industry’s best instructions for an easy DIY experience. Videos are also available to help install the unit fast and with ease.

With average DIY skills, you can install the unit within an hour using tools just common tools available at your home.

It comes with a 100% lead-free designer faucet, JG Food Grade tubing, and parts for safe and contaminant-free pure water.

The unit’s high-quality leak-free quick-connect fittings don’t require lock clips to seal and do not rely on a leak detector like other brands.

Since the system’s filters don’t have an indicator to show when they require changing, check if they need changing by testing the water entering and exiting the unit with a TDS meter.

Certifications: The system is WQA certified and put under a rigorous quality control process to guarantee high contaminants removal rates and give you the cleanest and purest water possible.

GE GXRM10RBL Overview

GE GXRM10RBL Reverse Osmosis

The GXRM10RBL is a 3-stage RO water filtration system that removes foreign contaminants, minerals, solid substances and unwanted molecules from your water.

It is actually certified to remove arsenic, lead, pesticides and 10+ other contaminants from the water.

The system’s water production rate is quite low, with a flow rate of 10 gallons per day. It is, however, compact and can fit in your under-sink space with dimensions of 5.5 x 11 x 12 inches. Its weight is 21 pounds.

Chrome Faucet: The GXRM10RBL comes with a chrome faucet with an LED filter life indicator that notifies you when to replace the filters. The faucet mounts with ease now that it comes with an installation kit.

Filtration Process: As aforementioned, this unit filters water in 3 stages.

In the first stage, a pre-filter (FX12P) removes large particles like sand, silt, dust and rust from the water. This pre-filter protects the RO membrane and requires replacement after 6 months for the best water filtration results.

In the 2nd stage, a carbon pre-filter removes chlorine, chloramines and odor from the water.

The 3rd and final stage is the reverse osmosis stage. The RO membrane eliminates all contaminants in the water and allows clean, pure water to flow into the storage tank and out through the faucet.

Water Flow Rate – Filtration Efficiency: The system filters up to 10 gallons of pure water per day and is thus best-suited for a family of at most 4. It also comes with a 4-gallon storage tank that holds the pure water awaiting use.

It supplies an equivalent of 68,000 bottles of filtered water.
